I had watched part of the first series (Crest of Stars, COS), the entire second series (Seikai no Senki, SNS) and part of SNS II.

With exciting battle scenes, Abh commanders that have strong personalities and weird attitudes, FTL space travel through a 2
dimensional planer universe, and of course, a great storyline, I consider it, if not the best, then one of the best space related
sci-fi anime I had watched.

I did note that three things did make me a little disappointed:
1) no transhumanist AI
2) no other alien civilisation
3) some common mistakes of sci-fi
(e.g. spaceships whistling when they fly past the space station, and apparently only a weak explanation of inertia generated in
ships)

I wonder if any transhumanists would like to create an Anime about a future world with transhumanist intelligences and FTL space
travel, maybe based on one og Vinge's books such as a Fire Upon the Deep. I think that will make some great watching.
