The trick is that you don't *drive* through the chunnel. You just drive onto
the train that takes you, and your car, through the chunnel.
On the subject of left-hand drive, I *think* I read somewhere that the
Swedes use to drive on the left and that they switched to the right as
recently as 1950something. Now that would be a shock, because, obviously,
you can not change that gradually... it has to be from one day to the next.
