...and to stay alive, of course. Volume/surface ratio and rate of creation
of information pattern beings make even very small systems effectively
closed. Only the very first can expand into unoccupied space. The second
generation already sees a homogeneous universe.

So, nobody abolished the rat race yet, unless you can show me a mechanism
to sustainably strip darwinian regime.
