What is interesting about life is how the cream rises to the top.
I am going to strongly disclaim any "authority" for judging
current trends in theoretical physics. I am also going
to point out that, as I recall, Katherine Freese had to
ask me what a "Dyson Sphere" was at a conference several
years ago. At the same time, the papers she has authored
that I have read seem to demonstrate that she is on the
forward edge of theoretical physics (to the degree that
I can understand their reasoning).
In short -- her papers seem worthy of more than a passing glance.
