Another one I get a kick out of is, "money may not make you happy, but at
least you can be miserable in comfort."
Don't know if it's gotten to the status of an old saying, but I read this
quote somewhere and it stuck: "Money doesn't make up for one's mediocrity."
(But with the new technological/biological innovations to come ... this will
be, like, a really OLD saying!)
