Hmm actually (if I can speak for SIAI) we find that all this crap Joy
has sparked is helping us quite a bit when it comes to approaching
potential sponsors. They've already heard about a lot of the issues, and
the issues have been "legitimatized" through his efforts to bash them.
I mean, if you tried to talk to some wealthy person or organization a
couple of years ago about AIs taking over the world, they would give you
a funny look, and that would be the end of it. Nowadays things are changing.
