    Have you looked at M. Csikszentmihalyi's two volume work FLOW and THE
EVOLVING SELF. He makes an effort to refute the whole argument for cultural
relativism. According to Mike C. there are ways to measure happiness across
cultural boundaries and compare them.
    In addition in the book VALUES FOR A NEW MILLENIUM by Robert L. Humphrey
a good argument is put forward on what the natural law is exactly and how it
applies to ideological conflicts.
