Jim Fehlinger mentioned Colossus, the Forbin Project, which we discussed
here a few weeks ago. It was broadcast in November and I watched it for
the first time in decades. Indeed a fine, chilling movie. A quote from
an online review spells out its appeal: "its storyline is as coldly and
brutally logical as Colossus itself, ... it has the courage to follow
its premise through to the end without once pulling its punches."

I seem to recall that the novel ended with a final word, in the author's
own voice:


Does someone have the book and can check this? It's been 30 years.
