This of course assumes that JavaScript is activated on the other end.
Usability of something should be hinged on as little assumptions as
possible. A web form with JavaScript based validation is nice, but this
in no way suggests you can forget server-side validation of the form.

The web is a broken thing, but one should not stumble into known minefields
deliberately.
