Drive time in the Bay area. I was listening a few minutes
ago to news radio ("continuing coverage of the Energy Crisis!").
Hotjobs.com had one of the bumper ad spots with a
more-beatnik-than-thou free verser extolling the virtues
of "love your job" (I can't disagree with that), which ended
with a mellower-than-thou-hippie-chick saying...
"Onward... Upward..."
Scratching my head trying to remember... was Max More the
first to spread this "Excelsior!" equivalent?
As usual, I googled this, with amusing results:
