What is "teleological corrosion"? I'm ready to love the term but
don't know quite what it means.

I think you'll find that my expectation of considerable life
extension is all through the CLOCK text as a premise, along with the
premonition that it is only partially a release, hence the "infinite
responsibility" angle. That in itself could dampen exponentiating
technology.

Life extension is not youth extension, except maybe biologically.
