We did it.

As long as we spend more time debating weird concepts internally (and
hence locking others out by sheer incomprehensibility) than getting
our ideas into the mainstream of thinking, we will look like a cult to
many. We have a name for ourselves (always a bad sign, as a Culture
Mind once remarked), some odd social customs and appear closed and
divorced from everyday reality. Sure, *we* don't think we are that bad
and we are by no means a cult by any serious definition of the word,
but we better prove to others that our ideas are more than fun
convictions.
