That's kinda the point of the skit. The original writer died upon
writing it down and reading it back to himself. Another body or so
later, the police thought it was a suicide note. Et cetera...

There's many variations on the theme (I even wrote one myself once,
though I doubt many on this list would appreciate it given its
context); the Monty Python one is probably the most well-known.
