A piece I did for Esquire Magazine last year called "The First
Immortal Man" was just nominated for a National Magazine Award and has been
reposted at the Esquire site. It's a tongue-in-cheek look at technology and
biotechnology which may enable us to extend our lifespans indefinitely, and
quotes Ray Kurzweil's "The Age Of Spiritual Machines" among others.
