Importance must exist within context, to determine it's meaning. Motive,
benefit, usefulness, predilection, affection, and goal among other things,
affect it's meaning.
If my motive was to call someone and collaborate with them on a project, it's
be important that they be alive. 'Kinetic' as e_shaun so poetically puts it ;
).
If my main goal was that I could learn from them, that they be brilliant,
share my ideas and wouldn't argue or talk back to me ...
