A little know fact is that the reason I went back to school
to study genetic engineering is because I wanted a pet dragon.
Start with a Komodo Dragon (lizard), add some vulture or albatross
wings, a cow's digestive tract for methane, some crystalized
flint and steel teeth and voila!
One of the reasons wast the novel new pickup lines it could provide:
R: "So say lassie, how would you like to come home with me and
play with my dragon..."
F: <slap!>
R: "No, I'm serious I really do have a pet dragon!".
As for the robots, they wouldn't stand a chance. :-)
If my next company is really suscessful and the costs of genome
sequencing come down a bit more, I just may be able to pull
this off by the time I'm 55-60.
