Damien -

Your absolutely right, of course, that this is Stephen Baxter's book. I
fell for the marketing tactic of putting ACC's name first and most prominent
on the cover. My apologies to the list.

Well, Stephen Baxter's new book (I'm guessing) with ACC's name added
because they had some conversations on the topic.

There's a review by Steven H. Silver at

http://www.sfsite.com/~silverag/other.html

and a CNN interview at

http://cnn.com/2000/books/news/02/02/clarke.baxter/index.html

`Clarke drew up a four-page outline and sent it to Baxter via email. (They
had earlier worked on a short story together).... Once they decided on an
outline for the book, Baxter took the first stab at writing it, and Clarke
played helper.'

No less interesting for all that, of course.
