I guess natural sources are not used because the dosage cannot be
controlled well. Also, what is the support for your claim that
synthetically produced vitamins have side effects not found in
naturally occured vitamins? I can imagine that eating oranges has more
health benefits than just eating pure ascorbic acid (antioxidants,
fibers, a lot of stuff), but that is different from claiming there is
a difference between natural and synthetic vitamins.
