X-ians used to turn their detractors' (gluteal) cheeks so's they could
lash the other one. A lot of them still reminisce nostalgically of
those inquisitional times as the Good Old Days. The greens and
deep-eco's do the same, dreaming of their lost Eden. Both are
forward-thinking, though, in the sense that they want the future to
resemble the past in their preferred different respects.
