Actually, I think a homo sapiens subspecies classification would be more
appropriate. And in a way, I am not kidding. We are indeed perhaps mutants,
with the possibility--albeit small, according to some--of being
extraordinarily long-lived, not because of a mutation in cellular repair
mechanisms, or some such thing, but because our brains are different.
