thirty-year-old who can afford to dwell on principle, or a
sixteen-year-old pragmatist who's interested in continued 'Net access as
a subgoal of, say, immortality. The first viewpoint is rational. So is
the second. I didn't suggest that explicit material be banned from
message contents; that would provide a minor benefit to group B at a
major cost to group A. I did suggest that explicit language be kept out
of the subject lines, which provides an major benefit to group B at an
insignificant cost to group A.
