That song is by George Harrison, not John Lennon. Harrison's music
company lost a lawsuit accusing him of plagiarizing the 1962 Chiffon's
song "He's So Fine" melodically. Harrison more or less conceded at
trial that he must have heard the song in the past and subconsciously
been aware of the two motifs his song had in common with "He's So
Fine". He thus lost the case for subconscious plagiarism. The
damages portion of the case dragged on for years, and I'm not sure it
was ever resolved completely, though it ought to have been for now.
John Lennon wasn't big on songs with deities and demi-gods in them
(unless you include references to himself).
