Well, I seem to recall there being some sort of Jewish deadline for a savior
in a couple hundred years or so, and 2012 is a Mayan thing if I recall
correctly. Regardless, the lack of the coming of "The End" has never
deterred the faithful before, why should it after 2012 or any other date?
Numerous cults/religions have predicted the end of the world already; most
of them still exist today. They just revise their predictions and continue
undeterred.
