Not necessarily. If one's opponents overestimate their own value by assigning to
themselves fantastical qualities, that detachment from reality may constitute a
disadvantage for them. Indeed, machine intelligence may find an initial
advantage in that people underestimate the power and capability of machine
intelligence.
