Unlike the Catholic Church, where one has to believe the heads are
selected for political reasons and overall "conformance" to the
status quo, in the Anglican Church you would have to factor in
interesting aspects of genetics involving interbreeding among the
European Royal families. One would suspect the genes for political
success (reading your associates) are selected for, while innovation
or freedom of thought are selected against.
Paradoxical that a church founded on the rejection of the status quo
(Henry the 8th's desire for a divorce) would turn into a tool of the
luddites.
